Master Roofers crews are very responsive, and took the time to inspect and repair our aging roof. The excessive winter and ice presented some difficult condition, but the team work through the leaks, and plugged them all. Great work and timely response by the crew.

We are very pleased with Master Roofers. Extremely thorough inspection and we were provided with a detailed description of scope of work with photos. Work was performed yesterday. Justin and David were friendly and also very thorough, experienced and knowledgeable. They were considerate of the inside of our home. They stayed late to get some extra work done that they observed needed repair after winter storms, which we greatly appreciated. Great communication with us through the entire process. Thank you so much.

Master Roofer’s motto is “If the customer is happy, we’re happy.” I heard this several times. They clearly strive hard to achieve this goal. Master Roofers installed a new roof, replaced three skylights, replaced trim, and installed some gutters, etc., all in the extreme cold of February! The entire process was very transparent. Jim Cutter went out of his way to come to our house, listen to our needs, and prepared a proposal with several options for us to evaluate. Stephanie efficiently guided us through the online process of reviewing the contract and making our selection. Once we accepted the proposal and paid the deposit, the date for our job was set in a short amount of time. Louis, his crew, and Tim arrived on time and completed the entire job in a few days. They were extremely polite, highly skilled, and very professional. It was a pleasure to communicate with them as the job proceeded – again “If the customer is happy, we’re happy.” They did an excellent job of cleaning up and all we are left with is an amazing-looking new roof, fabulous skylights, and the peace of mind that our house is now safe from the elements for years to come.
Response from the owner:Thank you, John, for the wonderful 5-star review and for highlighting our “If the customer is happy, we’re happy” motto. We’re glad Jim, Stephanie, Louis, Tim, and the crew could provide clear options, timely service in the extreme cold, and a thorough cleanup. It’s great to hear the new roof and skylights look amazing and give you peace of mind. Please reach out anytime if you need anything else or have questions about your roof.

Master Roofers just finished our new roof and we are very happy!
Dave the Site Manager was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained things to me and answered my questions as the project progressed.
The rest of the crew worked well together and did a great job of cleaning up all the construction trash when they were done. They even blew dirt and debris that fell into my garage while cutting for the ridge vent- I appreciated that a lot. We are very happy with the work Master Roofers did and will recommend them in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Master Roofers match a roofing material to the architecture of my Newton, MA Victorian?
Absolutely. Newton’s Victorian-era homes benefit from architectural shingles with heavy shadow lines, synthetic slate, or — for the most historically accurate results — natural slate or clay tile. We work with specialty suppliers to source materials appropriate for Newton’s historic architectural styles and will bring physical samples to your estimate appointment so you can evaluate them against your home’s exterior.
Does Master Roofers do drone roof inspections in Newton, MA?
Yes. For Newton properties where roof access is difficult due to pitch or height, we use FAA-compliant drone inspection to photograph all roof surfaces in detail. Drone inspection photos are included in your written estimate report at no additional charge. This is particularly useful for Newton’s larger Victorians and gambrel-roof colonials where ladder access covers only a fraction of the surface.
What roofing warranty does Master Roofers offer in Newton, MA?
For Newton installations, Master Roofers offers GAF’s Golden Pledge warranty — the most comprehensive roofing warranty available — which covers both materials and workmanship for 25 years and is only available through GAF Master Elite certified contractors. We also provide our own 10-year additional workmanship warranty. Both warranties are fully transferable, which is a selling point in Newton’s active real estate market.
